Policemen help seniors in trouble

Chase Mounties, during a medical check, rescued a high school student from Turtle Valley who had fallen and was unable to get up on her own.

Chase RCMP said in a press release that on Saturday, October 5, officers were called to a welfare check at a residence in Turtle Valley.

“The caller was concerned about an elderly neighbor who hadn’t been heard from in several days,” said Const. Sarah Van Wilgenburg of the Chase RCMP.

“Looking through the windows, the police noticed an elderly neighbor lying on the floor in the house.”

The woman was lying on the floor, conscious, but could not stand and needed help. The police entered the house and helped the woman until the ambulance arrived.

She was taken to the hospital for further medical examination.
