A recently released video captured the moment of a Ukrainian HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Missile System) destroys valuable Russian The Buk missile launcher delivers a dramatic blow.

Available footage from a drone, common in Ukraine Defense of Ukraineofficial X, before Twitterpage, the video shows a series of targeted explosions that appear to take out one of Russia’s main air defense systems.

The video titled Operational Command “South” shows KHIMARS missiles launched in rapid succession hit the target accurately. The attack hits the Beech, which explodes in a shower of bright sparks and ignites the area with large plumes of smoke.

Both Russia and Ukraine have yet to issue official statements regarding the video, but a caption next to the video on the official Ukraine Defense page on X reads:

For another post on X, according to another version, the destroyed Buk M2 air defense system was located in the Zaporizhzhia region. Ukrainian media MILITARY reported that a destroyed Russian air defense system “Buk-M3” and a 9C36 radar were found in the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region.

Newsweek could not independently verify when and where the footage was taken and reached out to the Russian Defense Ministry for comment Friday via email.
