A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the killing of a missing Atascadero man

A 21-year-old Paso Robles man has been arrested in connection with the killing of an Atascadero man who had been missing for nearly 2 weeks, according to Atascadero police.

Todd Joseph Pinion, 34, was last seen in Atascadero on Oct. 22, but was active on social media the next day, according to APD.

Shesterny was reported missing on October 30.

Police say Pinion’s dog was found dead on the side of Highway 101 on Thursday.

Police announced the arrest Sunday after investigators were able to identify Tyler Stevens, 21, of rural Paso Robles.

Stevens was taken into custody and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on a charge of murder.

Pinion’s body was found in a remote area near Tassajera Creek on Saturday.
