Woman taken to hospital after crash in Walsall leaves building ‘damaged’

“The driver of the car, a woman, was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries before being taken to Walsall Manor Hospital. The passenger, a man, was discharged on the spot.”

West Midlands Police asked everyone who has information about the accident to report it.

A police spokeswoman said: “We were called to Ablewell Street, Walsall, at around 8.20am this morning (November 4) to a collision.

“…A 20-year-old woman, the driver of one of the vehicles, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

“There was also minor damage to the building. Anyone with any information is asked to contact us via chat on our website or by calling 101 at number 732 from November 4.”

Bus services were disrupted on Monday morning due to the collision.

A regional bus company wrote: “Service failure. Due to the collision at Ablewell Street, Walsall, the 51, 77/A, 788, 934 and 935 are diverted in both directions via Sutton Road and Broadway. We apologize for any disruptions to your journey.”

Around 9:15 a.m., passengers reported that flights had resumed their normal route.
