Chris Martin falls through a hatch on stage during a Coldplay concert in Melbourne

Chris Martin is down.

The frontman fell through a stage hatch while walking backwards during Coldplay’s Melbourne concert on Sunday night, as captured on fan footage.

The musician, who slipped on the signs of the audience, came out with a smile and joked to fans that he did not “plan” the accident.

“Thank you so much for catching me. Holy shit, he said to someone out of sight, before predicting the fall would be a “YouTube moment.”

Martin, 47, went on to tell Marvel Stadium concertgoers that he was “shaky” and felt “a little weird” after losing his balance, but was ultimately “fine.”

He turned to Oprah Winfrey, joking to the crew: “You get a bonus! You get a bonus!”

Users of social networks responded to Martin’s spill through Xwhere one joked that the Grammy winner had “gone underground.”

another referenced the band’s 2000 hitwriting, “When the bruise healed, it turned ALL yellow!!”

The viral video appeared almost a month later Olivia Rodrigo also fell during a performance at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.

The 21-year-old “Driver’s License” singer was running when she fell right through the gaping hole on stage while her audience gasped.

“Oh my God,” she said. “It was fun. Sometimes there is just a hole in the scene. All right. Okay, where have I been?”

Earlier this year, Ed Sheeran made headlines after tripping and falling to his knees during a concert in Japan.
