Missing man found dead in Musap River – NBC Connecticut

A man who was reported missing over the weekend has been found dead in the Musup River.

Plainfield Police received a report that 32-year-old Kyle Souza of Central Village was missing Sunday around 5 p.m. He was reportedly last seen on Saturday at 10:30 p.m.

Investigators were able to determine his last approximate location as Main Street in the Central Village area of ​​Plainfield.

While checking the area, police said they found a man unresponsive in the Moosup River near Water Street around 8:20 p.m. Sunday. The officer took the man down and he was later pronounced dead.

The man who was pulled from the water was later identified as Souza. Souza was taken to the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington for an autopsy.

Police are describing this as an isolated incident that poses no threat to the public.
