TV star admits he was told he didn’t ‘do’ sex scene after on-set criticism – TV

Actor Jackson White talked about how they shoot intimate scenes on the set of one of the most popular TV shows of today, as well as the advice he received during one of them.

The American the actor is known for his role as the manipulative Stephen DeMarco on the Hulu drama series, tell me a lie.

The series takes place in 2007 college students Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and DeMarco and their tangled, tangled, toxic romance over the course of eight years.

It has all the makings of a good watch and if you haven’t heard of it before, check it out here:

Its first season premiered in 2022, and the much-anticipated second season premiered this September to continued critical acclaim and currently holds a 75% score on Rotten tomatoes.

And as if the heat wasn’t enough to watch on the screen, with all the steam relationshipsthe lead actors, Van Patten and White, are actually together in real life.

The ex recently sat down with none other than his own haveCathy Sagal and stepfather Kurt Sutter to talk about what it’s like to shoot hot and difficult scenes on set with his girlfriend and the awkward feedback he once received.

White was a guest on their “PIE” podcastas the 28-year-old revealed, detailing how it all works: “You have one sexual coordinator — one intimacy coordinator — that levels out in a week. So it would be like a week of sex, and there would be sex scenes all day long.”

He said there would be “sex days” where the intimacy coordinator would be “running from set to set” as more than one sex scene was being shot at the same time.

Sutter asked if the “sex coordinator” would teach him “how to do it” in front of the cameras, to which the actor jokingly replied.

The 28-year-old shared: “Someone said, ‘He’s not hitting the right shot.’ I asked, “How?” They say, “Well, he is, it doesn’t look like he’s in there.”

“So we have to make it more realistic,” he shared.

White went on to describe that when he did the “body twist” motion in the sex scene, he was told to do a “more stationary” motion in the scene.

Showrunner Megan Oppenheimer apparently shared the notes with him, and while Sutter joked that he had “four pages of notes kicking around,” the actor insisted, “We’ve been working on it, and I’ve … achieved it.”

Sagal and Sutter loved the story, and they were heartbroken after it.

White went on to explain, “Well, when you’re doing a sex scene, you don’t want to be, like, all over your sh**,” which is a fair point.

Although White and Van Patten tried to downplay their off-screen relationship, the latter revealed that they relied on it a little more to The Hollywood Reporter this year, saying that while their relationship is “out there,” she thinks “not too much” of it is visible.

“I think just treating our relationship professionally, the way we treat it in our own lives, is the best way to do it,” she explained after saying she didn’t want to fall for the show’s clickbait nature.
