According to the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office, Todd Michael Donovan, 53, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder after he allegedly shot and killed his wife, Sheila Donovan, 52, and their 22-year-old son. -year-old Tyler Donovan, on Friday, November 1.

“Donovan also faces animal cruelty charges after investigators say he shot and killed his neighbor’s dog that same night.”

“Meanwhile, neighbors are still baffled by the crime; not just a double murder, but also the seemingly unrelated murder of a neighbor’s dog.

“Donovan’s first court appearance is scheduled for Monday at 1:30 p.m. He is being held on $2 million bail.”
