It’s just one of many establishments that showcase the culinary prowess of Maryland’s largest city.

for Forbes, Culinary Director of Method Co. Brynn Sinnott talks about what sets Baltimore apart from other US cities as a dining destination, while highlighting some of the top attractions that visitors should definitely check out during a trip to the Charm City.

Our approach combines under one roof the experience of professionals with sophisticated expertise in hospitality, interior design, architecture and urban planning. This interdisciplinary practice allows us to create not just spaces, but immersive hospitality experiences that resonate with our guests. Method had great success in cities across the country such as Atlanta, Detroit and Philadelphia. What drew you to Baltimore?

Method has long admired Baltimore for its rich maritime history, vibrant culture and strong community spirit. The city has a unique blend of tradition and innovation that resonates with our vision of hospitality. We saw a great opportunity to create our footprint in Baltimore after seeing the unprecedented work MAG Partners led on the Baltimore Peninsula, transforming Baltimore’s waterfront into an incredibly sought-after destination. With the addition of Vessel, we are excited to build on the success of our ROOST Baltimore extended-stay aparthotel and its Little Wing Cafe and Shop, and to contribute to the vibrant culinary scene on the Baltimore Peninsula that appeals to locals and travelers alike.

What sets Baltimore dining and entertainment apart from the rest?

Baltimore’s restaurants are incredibly diverse, reflecting both its coastal heritage and the city’s cultural melting pot. The city’s strong sense of local pride is evident in its culinary offerings, where chefs often source ingredients from nearby farms, fishmongers and purveyors. Each of Baltimore’s neighborhoods has its own unique character, and the Baltimore Peninsula is no exception. You’ve got local icons like Nick’s Fish House, regional spots like Urbano Tex-Mex and Slurp Noodle Bar, and Rye Street Tavern, run by D.C. fame Clyde’s. In addition, nationally known Ben & Jerry’s Cafe and Pinky Cole’s Slutty Vegan and Bar Vegan will soon debut on the peninsula. In a city with such distinctive and memorable cuisine, it’s great to see a new foodie destination pop up on the Baltimore Peninsula right before our eyes, all within a few blocks.

What can visitors expect from Vessel at Baltimore Peninsula?

Everything from Vessel’s design to its food and beverage offerings leans toward the nautical lifestyle. The bar and lounge menu is inspired by ports around the world and includes flavors and dishes from the Mediterranean, Asia and the East Coast. The beverage program complements these offerings with a selection of tiki cocktails, including classics like the Painkiller and Mai Tai, as well as original creations like the Oaxacan Vice, which combines strawberry-pineapple rum, lime cordial and burlesque bitters, and the Wonder Boy, a a blend of rye, banana, Frangelico and Orgeat.

Guests can also enjoy a curated wine list, local craft beers and a full bar with a wide selection of food. The space itself is sleek and inviting, combining a modern aesthetic with classic nautical details. Vessel also features an indoor and outdoor bar, pool table, outdoor booths and stunning views of the Patapsco River, making it the perfect place to relax or celebrate for locals and travelers alike.

What are three places you recommend visiting in Baltimore?

It is almost impossible to choose only three! But if I had to choose, my perfect day in Baltimore would start with a morning at the Museum of American Vision Art, followed by a visit to the First Washington Monument and ending with cocktails on the waterfront at Sagamore Spirit Distillery on the Baltimore Peninsula. .
