South Euclid Police are investigating 2 shootings

The South Euclid Police Department is investigating two shootings that happened 10 minutes apart in South Euclid on Sunday afternoon.

At approximately 12:33 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 4000 block of Okalona Road, police said.

Authorities say police found the man with a single gunshot wound to the chest.

According to the police, the man was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

According to police, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) was called to the scene to assist the investigating officers present.

Almost 10 minutes later, officers responded to another shooting in the 3800 block of Salisbury Road, South Euclid police said.

When police arrived at the scene, they say they found a man with at least one gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to the district hospital for medical treatment, the police said.

Authorities report that the man was taken from the scene to the police station for questioning.

It is not known whether these two incidents are related.

Police say the investigation into both shootings is ongoing and officers are working to identify all suspects.
