A car pulls into a restaurant for lunch in Wailuka

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Maui residents witnessed a scary scene in Wailuku Friday afternoon when an SUV drove in front of Blazin Steaks, according to Maui Police.

According to officials, the incident happened on Echo Street around 2:30 p.m

The restaurant owners told us the driver said she mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brake.

The car was taken, but the restaurant remained open.

No injuries have been reported.
