A road accident took the life of a Rantul woman News

URBANA — A Rantoul woman died from injuries sustained in a crash early Sunday, authorities said.

Julie A. Vargolet, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:21 a.m. Sunday, according to Champaign County Coroner Stephen Tunney.

According to the coroner, preliminary information indicates that Mrs. Wargolet’s vehicle “went off the road for an unknown reason and then rolled and came to rest in a plowed field” just south of 1400 East and 2700 North in rural Rantoul.

An autopsy was scheduled for Monday. The death is under investigation by the coroner’s office and the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office.
