Anmol Bishnoi, brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was arrested in connection with threatening calls made to Bhim Sena chief Satpal Tanwar from abroad, Gurugram police said on Sunday, November 3. According to authorities, Anmol is accused of making threatening calls from the United States and Canada using phone numbers associated with Zimbabwe and Kenya.

Following a complaint by Tanwar, Anmol Bishnoi was charged under sections of the IPC at the Sector 37 police station on Saturday. Police found that on October 30, Anmol allegedly made several calls to the Bhim Sena leader, during which he threatened to “cut him into pieces”.

“The calls, which lasted a total of 6 minutes and 41 seconds, were answered by Tanwara’s secretary,” police officials said.

In response to the complaint, a task force comprising members of the STF and multiple crime and cyber crime departments was formed to investigate the case further.

Importantly, authorities said that after receiving alerts from US authorities about Anmol Bishna’s whereabouts, Mumbai police began extradition proceedings for the 25-year-old, who has been involved in high-profile cases, including a shooting incident outside the home of Bollywood actor Salman Khan. place of residence Anmol allegedly orchestrated several criminal activities for Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently incarcerated in Gujarat.

Last month, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) added Anmol to its most-wanted list, announcing a reward of Rs 10 lakh for information leading to his arrest. Anmol is known to travel frequently between the US and Canada under the close watch of Indian authorities.
