Cobb County, Ga., Servers back online after network breaking

(TNS) – Cobb County says that all its online servers work and work after breaking the unauthorized user of the network, which forced them offline for several days.

The District Information Technology Department found a hacker on the district servers on Friday and began to engage in offline systems for maintenance of their safety assessment.

District offices and buildings have never been closed, but several online systems have remained on Wednesday, including the Wi-Fi County Staff, online submission for all district court resources and a Database of KOBB prison.

Kelly Gambryl and Joann Birrell’s commissioners declared on Thursday that they have full access to their e -mail and the necessary systems.

“I was in my office before today and everything was well,” Birrell wrote in the text to Mdj.

Gambryll said she received all the pure sheet on Wednesday.

“I understand everything (is) back … I get emails and replies as before,” she said.

Kobba Chairman Lisa Cupd and Director of KOBB District Ross Kavitt held a press conference on the Wednesday Server on Wednesday, where they stated that officials were still investigating whether or not the citizen’s data had been violated.

County did not confirm whether any resident data had leaked when asked Mdj Thursday.

Cupida said on Wednesday that she did not know how long the hacker is on the district server or where they got access. Kavitt said on Wednesday that law enforcement agencies were not involved in the investigation, and did not confirm whether the violation is a ransom attack or not.

“As for the ransom,” Kavitt said, “we are in a position when the servers are returned to the Internet, all services should be accessible to residents, so we do not expect any violations in any services or data that existed before this incident.”

Kavitt said that if the county identifies any confidential information, the residents and the public will be reported immediately.
