Six cars burned in a Montreal parking lot as a result of a suspicious fire

Montreal police say six cars were set on fire in a commercial parking lot early Sunday morning in the Plateau-Mont-Royal neighborhood.

Spokesman Anthony Dorelas says police received a call around 5:30 a.m. about several cars on fire in an industrial area.

Police and firefighters who arrived at the scene found six cars on fire, five of which were completely destroyed.

Dorelas says the fire is suspicious and police are investigating, but no arrests have been made yet.

According to him, the police are guarding the scene, and the investigators will review the recordings of video surveillance cameras.

Police have not reported any injuries.
