Greensboro police are investigating the death of Hewitt Street

GREENSBORO, North Carolina — Around 2:30 Thursday afternoon, Greensboro Police were called to a reported person at a home on Hewitt Street.

Officers say they found 24-year-old Cameron Lee unresponsive after the apparent shooting. Despite life-saving efforts, police say Lee died at the scene.

Detectives say it is being investigated as a homicide and Lee’s next of kin have been notified of the death.

Investigators are calling this shooting an isolated incident and say there are no suspects at this time.

This is Greensboro’s 36th homicide of 2024.
