Antiques Road Trip presenter Izzy Ballmer was delighted as she made a huge profit at auction in the latest episode of the hit BBC show.

Aged 33, the young auctioneer felt the pressure to maintain her lead in the week’s climactic episode as she headed to Balsall Common, near Coventry, for her latest antiques adventure.

Piloting a shiny 1970s Volvo through the heart of the Midlands, she admitted she “wouldn’t be surprised at all” if her rival, Ishi Khan, revived his collection, noting she needed to “hang in there”.

Unbeknownst to her, the jackpot was waiting for her at Antiques In A Barn.

The vivacious red-haired expert, known for her penchant for shiny trinkets and fine glass, made a brief detour around the store, pausing to hug a weather-worn toy horse, reports Daily Star.

She quickly realized that this neglected horse had taken his “last Derby ride” and continued his search for a real gem.

That’s when she noticed a Georgian-style ring with a “distinctive color from the foil of the stone.” ‘.

Izzy speculated: “It’s going to be gold. There is no proof stamp on it. I would say, out of nine, maybe a 15-carat color.”

With a tag of £79, a bargain on her account, she still played her cards right, securing it for just £55 after some shrewd bargaining.

At Sutton Hill Farm Country Auctions in Leicestershire, her rival Ishi Khan could not hide his envy, admitting he was “jealous” of her opening as he predicted it would sell well.

Bidding for the item started at a staggering £300 and quickly rose to £700, netting her a substantial profit of £645.

By the end of the show, Ishi Khan had raised a commendable £183.28, while Izzy boasted an impressive £872.40.

All profits from the show were generously donated to Children in Need.
