AFLW finals schedule announced, North Melbourne to play Adelaide on Friday night

The first week of the AFLW finals is full of mouth-watering match-ups, from frequent finalists to first-time finals contenders.

The 2024 NAB AFLW Finals will be played in prime time for parts of the East Coast in week one, with North Melbourne accept Adelaide in the qualifying final at Ikon Park on Friday night.

The AFL has confirmed the schedule of finals games for week one after an exciting final day of the regular season, with the Roos taking on the Crows at 7.15pm AEDT on Friday night earlier Fremantle will accept Essendon on Saturday at Fremantle Oval, with the match kicking off at 4:00 PM EST, giving it a prime time slot of 7:00 PM ET.

The weekend will conclude with a double whammy on Sunday afternoon, with hawthorn accept brisbane from 13:05 AEDT at Ikon Park earlier Port Adelaide will accept Richmond at Alberton Oval from 2.35pm ACDT (3.05am AEDT).

The Roos v Crows will be just the third AFLW grand final to take place on a Friday night. Of the 37 previous AFLW finals, only six have been played at night.

It comes after AFL.com.au this week it was reported that the League was seriously considering the prospect of a first night grand final recently discussing clubs and key stakeholders.

All matches of the 2024 finals series will be broadcast live on the Seven Network and Foxtel/Kayo.

People under 18 can attend for free, while an adult ticket costs $15. Tickets go on sale Monday (see below for details).

The 2024 Grand Final will take place on November 30.
