TV’s Chloe Madeley was groped by a rugby legend – while another star of the sport proposed to her on the same night.

The two players had a drunken courtship while her now-divorced husband James Haskell was a DJ a few feet away.

Haskell, 39, exEngland wing player of the 2011 and 2015 World Cups, the TV presenter says Chloe The ordeal of a London nightclub in his new book The Good, The Bad and The One. Rugby.

He writes: “Recently I received a phone call from a supposedly great rugby player who was up to all sorts of mischief in a notoriously hedonistic European capital.

“But I wasn’t surprised at all because the same guy proposed to Chloe a few years ago when I was DJing a few feet away and his teammate, another supposedly great rugby player, groped her a**e.”

A source close to the book said: “Chloe was the only girl present when it happened. She was shocked but didn’t make a big deal out of it. There was a lot to drink. She and James left immediately after that.’

Haskell does not name two stars in book co-authored with ex-England team-mate Mike Tyndall and rugby presenter Alex Payne and released last week.

Fitness trainer Chloe, 37, started acquaintance Haskell in 2015, and in 2018 they got married.

In August 2022, Bohdi’s daughter was born the couple divorced in October 2023 and now they are waiting for a divorce.

Haskell got into trouble last year when he was seen dinner with DJ Chloe McLennan in Ibiza and his wife Chloe is the daughter of a television couple Richard Madley and Judy Finnigan – returned to Great Britain.

Haskell, who starred in I’m a celebrity in 2019, he says in the book that he does not try to hide when he did something wrong.

He says, “Nobody’s perfect, but if you’re smart, you can make it seem that way. My personal choice is to be open and honest, warts and all. That way, if you get caught, it won’t be a surprise.

“I try to always be the same with everyone. I’m sure I don’t get as much work as I could be when I’m like that, but I’d rather not be everyone’s cup of tea than pretend my business doesn’t stink, even though it’s very obvious.’

Khloe said: “I’m never going to go into the details of why we broke up because it’s not fair to anyone and I wouldn’t want him to either, but I will say it was f*** but terrible. .”

In the book, Haskell appears to reflect on the squeaky-clean image of rugby legends, adding: “Promoting yourself through the media is like dancing with the devil, but it’s a necessary risk.

“You have to play the game to some degree, even if it seems like the last thing in the world you want to do.

“Of course, presenting yourself in the media not only allows you to be authentic, it also means that you can appear to be a better person than you are.”
