WWE superstar underwent surgery – details

Angel Garza recently underwent surgery on his hand.

Taking to social media on Saturday, the Los Lotharios member announced that he had to undergo surgery on his hand due to the injury. “in a match some time ago.”

Garza wrote, “How are you doing! Just here to give a quick update on what happened to my arm. First, thank you to everyone who messaged me about how I’m doing, how my recovery is going, and wishing me a speedy recovery.

“During a match some time ago, I landed with my hands, specifically my palms, and I heard a slight pop and I felt like something exploded on my wrist, but I wasn’t sure what it was; however, like a good Mex, I got over it and knew how to put the tape on so it wouldn’t hurt when wrestling and going to the gym. Anyway, I had a little trouble with my elbows, but I went through rehab for that because it was just for muscle tension; however, when I went to physical therapy, the doctors noticed that they couldn’t help me do the stretching needed to relax the muscles at the top of my elbow because the specific cuff was restricting them. They were concerned and sent me for an exam to see what the little ball in my wrist was, a ganglion, and they usually drain it. There is another method they use, putting it back in place with a book, but neither method could be used because it had split into three different ganglia, and they were surrounding the main arteries of the wrist, so they couldn’t be taken out. without surgery. It wasn’t urgent, but they said that if they drained it, there was a 70% chance of it happening again, compared to a 5-10% chance of it happening with surgery, so we decided on surgery. We used general anesthesia, the operation lasted about an hour, and everything was removed. Now I have about two weeks of rehabilitation with a cast, and then the doctors will see how the artery reacts. It’s going to be without any exercise so I’m going to have to watch my diet (laughs) because I’m like one of those people who pops like popcorn if I’m not careful so I’m going to have to watch that because I can’t engage in physical activity other than walking. Doctors said that if sweat gets into the cast, it can become infected. I don’t know how open the surgical wound was, but it was opened to isolate the artery and clean everything out. We’ll see how we progress over these two weeks and I’ll keep you posted. Thanks again everyone for the kind messages and I’ll keep you posted. Thank you very much!”

Garza last competed on the October 18 episode of WWE SmackDown.

There is no word on how long he will be out.
