Police: Woman arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run in Petaluma

A woman accused of fleeing the scene of a crash in Petaluma was arrested Thursday, according to a news release from the Petaluma Police Department in Nixley.

A woman accused of fleeing the scene of a crash in Petaluma was arrested Thursday, according to a news release from the Petaluma Police Department in Nixley.

The crash was reported shortly before 9 p.m. at C Street and Petaluma Boulevard South. When officers arrived, they found one driver with minor injuries and learned the other driver had fled the scene, officials said.

The injured driver was taken to the district hospital for medical treatment.

Officers investigated and found the suspect, later identified as Taylor Arnold, was inside the home and showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and possibly a controlled substance, police said.

Petaluma officers determined she was behind the wheel of a vehicle with other passengers inside when the crash occurred.

Arnold was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and hit and run and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
