HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said two people were killed in a crash in northeast Houston Saturday night.

Gonzalez said deputies responded to a crash with a vehicle on fire in the 13200 block of Wallisville.

According to the authorities, four cars were involved in the accident.

According to Gonzalez, preliminary information suggests one driver may have crossed into oncoming traffic, while the driver of the car that hit him was taken to the hospital.

Law enforcement officers removed two human bodies from the scene, both were declared dead.

Traffic is being diverted onto Maxey Road west of the scene and Normandy Road eastbound, according to HCSO.
