HOUSTON, Texas – Two people were killed in a crash and fire in northeast Houston Saturday night.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said deputies responded to a report of an accident in the 13200 block of Wallisville around 6:30 p.m. and found a vehicle on fire.

Gonzalez said two bodies were pulled from the burning car and both were pronounced dead at the scene. Four cars were involved in the scene, which Gonzalez described as “a pretty big accident.” One of the four drivers may have been driving in the wrong direction, he said.

At least one person was taken to hospital.

All traffic is diverted to Normandy Road and Maxi Road while deputies and first responders investigate the scene.
