Alleged hitman R33P arrested after 3-night spree | News

A man accused of tagging about a dozen places in Tumon with “R33P” tags was arrested on Halloween night.

Andrew Edward Gonzalez faces five misdemeanor graffiti charges after an IHOP employee recognized him on video.

According to the magistrate’s complaint in the case, security guards first noticed the graffiti on the stairs in the parking garage of the Dusit Beach garage in Tumon.

According to the document, he was not there during the preliminary inspection, and after reviewing the video, they saw the man graffiti “R33P” on the wall before getting into the car and driving away.

The next day, the sign “R33P” appeared outside the ABC store at Dusit Thani Hotel in Tumon. After checking the footage, a man was seen walking from the ABC store to the SandCastle. An employee at a nearby IHOP identified the man as Gonzalez.

On Halloween, a Guam Visitors Bureau employee called police to report graffiti — tagged R33P — on several GTA junction boxes, bus stops and retaining walls in Tumon.

Police located Gonzalez at his workplace, and Gonzalez agreed to go to the station for questioning.

The complaint states that Gonzalez admitted to some of the graffiti and said the “R33P” tag belonged to him. He was arrested at 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 31, the statement said.
