A Winnipeg woman has died after she was found injured outside the Portage Place Mall

Winnipeg police are investigating after a woman was found unresponsive outside Portage Place Shopping Center Thursday afternoon.

According to the press release, around 3:10 p.m., police officers arrived at the first hundred block of Naberezhnaya block on a report of “suspicious circumstances.” Police said they found the woman unresponsive with non-life threatening injuries. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where she died of her injuries.

Police identified the victim as 28-year-old Brianna Close of Winnipeg.

No one has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.
