A-Suh Boss Stands Up For His Cause With “Chappa Cry”

KINGSTON, Jamaica. Rising dancehall artiste A-Suh Boss aims for Dancehall supremacy with his latest money-making single, Chappa screama gem of a song that talks about the hustling youth mentality one must adopt in order to survive on the dirty streets of Jamaica.

Chappa scream this explains why the youth are forced to adopt a hustle mentality at a young age, to live in the fast lane, getting that money to fuel their big dreams and create generational wealth,” the artist, whose real name is Yashoy Anthony Clark, said.

Produced by Monk Music, the single was released in October and created quite a buzz in music circles. The video will be released on November 25 together with the release of his mini-album.

Ah-Sukh Boss grew up in the communities of Red Hills and Arnett Gardens, spending time between the residences of his mother and father. As a teenager, he attended Norman Manley High School. Passionate about music, he first started playing music under the influence of a friend named New Money and later joined a dance group called Frasses.

Released his first song, Start Fi Walk in 2013.

“That song Start fi Walk it’s understandable since it was the beginning of my music career, I just started studying business,” he joked.

After leaving the group, he continued to work on his craft and rechristened himself A-Suh, a name given to him by his two-year-old son at the time. The colloquial phrase means “that’s how.”

“A-Suh is a tongue-in-cheek, danceable name that represents my Jamaican heritage,” he explained.

He first came into the limelight with the single, Impostorswhich has over 230,000 views on YouTube.

“At the moment I was thinking about the new wave of dance music and how I could bring my own style and sound to it and how this concept of Impostures could help me rise to the top,” he explained.

A-Suh Boss recently completed his eight-song mini-album titled ‘Renaissance’, which features great work from the production teams of Temple Boss Records, Monk Music and Polo Store Entertainment.

“When we connect, it’s always good chemistry. We’ve finished all the tracks, so we’re just putting the finishing touches on it for the November release,” he shared.

The EP will be released on November 23rd on all online platforms. The EP will include songs such as Chappa scream, A rich life, Traffic Code, Impostors and Top Mich.
