PRINCETON, NJ – The Clemson Tigers Rowing program will once again head to the Northeast to compete in the Princeton Chase on Sunday, November 3rd starting at 9:00 AM. The last time Clemson finished in the top 10 was 42 during the Head of the Charles regatta. in the Club 8+ competition with the fastest time in Boston since 2008.

The Tigers will bring a total of eight boats, three of which will compete in the Women’s Open 8+, which will begin at approximately 10 a.m., and the other five will compete in the Women’s Open 4+, with an estimated start time of 1:20 p.m. Regatta results can be found here.

“We are really looking forward to the Princeton Pursuit,” said Head Rowing Coach Adrienne Martelli. As always, the races are an opportunity to implement what we’ve been working on in practice, push the limits of physical training and enjoy competing against other teams.”

The 2024 Princeton Chase is Martelli’s second fall regatta. In New Jersey, she was accompanied by assistant coaches Zoe Adamson and Alana Holt and director of operations Sheila Rinozzi in their first regatta under the Tigers name.

Adamson joins the Tiger rowing program after a two-year stint at Old Dominion as an assistant coach. During her time with the Monarchs, Adamson led the program to a fifth-place finish at the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Championships, developed freshman Nicole Knight to AAC Rookie of the Year and second-team All-AAC honorees and had six varsity Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athletes under her care. Holt joins the Clemson rowing coaching staff after a stint in Pittsburgh with Duquesne as an assistant coach. During her time at Dukes, Holt coached the 1V8 during the fall, where she helped lead the boat to a first-place finish at the Ohio Head. The Folsom native also produced 14 CRCA Scholar-Athletes and a pair of all-district Sports Communications Committee (CSC) members. Rinozzi enters his first season with the Orange and Regalia after three seasons in the same role with the Ohio State Buckeyes. In 2022 and 2023, respectively, she oversaw the Buckeyes’ first- and second-place finishes at the Big 10 Championships, eighth- and 12th-place finishes at the NCAA Division I Rowing Championships, and the 2022 Varsity 4 boat that won silver medal at the national level.
