Century Casinos announces the opening of Century Casino & Hotel Caruthersville

Century Casinos, Inc. announced On Friday, the company opened a new land-based casino and hotel in Caruthersville, Missouri. The 26,000 square foot casino offers 599 slot machines and nine live tables, a 50% increase in gaming positions compared to the temporary casino location, a restaurant, a bar and a total of 74 hotel rooms.

VICI Properties, Inc. financed the development of Century Casinos’ new land-based casino and hotel in Caruthersville

The $51.9 million development was financed through VICI Properties, Inc. VICI also owns the real estate improvements associated with the Caruthersville project.

The casino development forms part of the company’s triple net lease master agreement with VICI subsidiaries. Annual rent under the lease will increase by approximately $4.2 million.

“We are very pleased to have completed the transformation of the Century Casino & Hotel in Caruthersville from the last remaining riverboat on the Mississippi River and a temporary location in a small pavilion for the past two years to a full-fledged resort with a proper gaming area. floor, restaurant, bar, hotel rooms and RV parking,” said Erwin Heitzmann and Peter Hotzinger, co-CEOs of Century Casinos.

“The new resort will provide significantly improved and more convenient entertainment. … We look forward to attracting customers from other cities in Missouri, Tennessee and Arkansas.”

The Missouri Gaming Commission approved the move in October

During a meeting last month with the Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC), the MGC approved the transfer of Century Casino & Hotel Caruthersville’s gaming license from the temporary pavilion location to the new land-based casino.

Century Casino & Hotel Caruthersville opened its doors at noon for a grand opening Friday. The casino offered guests its $30,000 Word Out cash giveaway. Distribution is also scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

Of course, Century Casino & Hotel Caruthersville is Missouri’s first “non-floating casino” on the Mississippi River. The facility offers hundreds of slot machines and nine live table games for players.

The casino encourages guests to stay at The Farmstead or its RV Park, which is open year-round and is located right on the Mississippi River.
