Alleged suspect in Halloween slaying seen wearing Michael Myers mask, police say

HOUSTON (TMX) – Authorities in Texas are searching for a possible suspect in a Houston homicide who was seen in the area Thursday night wearing a Michael Myers mask from the movie “Halloween.”

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said deputies and EMS responded to a residence on Hawks Nest Drive in Houston Thursday night after the resident called 911 to report her father had been shot. They arrived and found the victim in the garage unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two minor children were in the home and were not injured, the sheriff’s office said.

Investigators spoke with witnesses and reviewed security footage from nearby homes and learned of a possible suspect seen in the area wearing a Michael Myers mask.

Neighbors and children in the house heard the shots. Investigators then learned that the children’s mother, the victim’s wife, had been killed in August.

The children were released to their grandmother.

The sheriff said the suspect’s identity and motive are currently unknown.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact them or submit anonymous information.
