Boy found homeless in Atlanta on Halloween has been identified, police say

Atlanta police say they have now located the parents of an autistic child who was found wandering in the middle of the street on Halloween night. But they didn’t say anything more.

ATLANTA – A young boy who was found wandering the streets of Atlanta on Halloween night has been identified and his parents have been located, police said.

Atlanta police have not said how the speechless 4-year-old boy ended up on Briar Glen Lane, near Mount Gilead Road, in southwest Atlanta. On Thursday, around 10:50 p.m., the couple noticed a child walking in the middle of the street.

FOX 5 was there as Atlanta Police Department officers attempted to make contact with the occupants of the home on Briar Ridge Way. Officers confirmed their response was related to a child wandering around, but had no further comment.

The search ended around 1pm on Friday after the family was located.

Police have not said what happened that led to the child wandering the street, or whether charges will be filed. They will say only that the investigation is ongoing.
