Soon she was tracked down and detained. She was released on charges of car theft and released to court on December 24.

The man was arrested with methamphetamine and a machete

A call from a business in the 100 block of Fifth Street led to the arrest of a 26-year-old man for various offenses early Thursday afternoon.

The business reported the theft to police around 12:21 a.m. Thursday. Police eventually tracked the suspect to the first block of 10th Street, where they say they found methamphetamine and a machete in his possession. In addition, the suspect was issued a bond of release with the prohibition to possess weapons.

He was held overnight and was scheduled to appear in court Friday on charges of theft under $5,000, violation of probation, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon.

Intoxicated teenagers were detained

Two teenagers were held in Brandon police cells overnight after the riots.

Police were called to the 300 block of Maryland Avenue at 12:03 a.m. Friday. When police arrived, they say they found two intoxicated 17-year-olds fighting.

After unsuccessful attempts to find a sober adult to take custody of the teenagers, the police placed them in cells to be released when they were sober.
