The man pleaded not guilty to hit and run

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) — A man accused of stabbing a victim and then being involved in a hit-and-run in Chesapeake pleaded not guilty Friday.

Dimitri Cullen, 26, appeared in Lawrence County Municipal Court in Chesapeake.

According to investigators, the incident happened on Wednesday evening (October 30) and was the result of a domestic incident.

According to the criminal complaint, Cullen used a machete to slash the 20-year-old man’s neck and arm, sending the victim to the hospital. This incident happened at a home on County Road 1 in Union Township.

The complaint alleges that Cullen used the vehicle to hit the 48-year-old woman, also injuring her and sending her to the hospital.

Cullen’s bail was set at $2 million.

His preliminary hearing is set for 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, in Laurens County Municipal Court.
