Johnny Gaudreauwidow, Meredithshows off her children’s Halloween costumes — and she revealed that the late NHL star chose her own outfits.
On Friday, Oct. 31, Meredith shared photos and videos on her Instagram Stories of her and Johnny’s children — daughter Noah, 2, and son Johnny, Jr., 8 months — posing in their Halloween costumes with their cousins .
Each of the Gaudreau children wore costumes inspired by them Toy Story and Meredith also included the song “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” in her Stories post.
“The outfits dad wanted ,” she captioned the image.

Meredith spoke candidly about how the loss of her husband affected their family. Last month, she shared posts on Instagram showing how Gaudreau Columbus Blue Jackets all the teammates came to support Noah for her second birthday.
Among the photos Meredith posted was a group photo of her Blue Jackets teammates posing next to a sign that read, “Happy Second Birthday Noah.”
Above image, Meredith wrote on her Instagram story: “We love you all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
She added, “A really special group that will forever be family to me and our babies,” referring to Noah, along with their 8-month-old son Johnny and a third child on the way. His widow spoke at his memorial service last month she is nine weeks pregnant with their third child.

Madeleine Gaudreau, the widow of Johnny Matthew’s brother, who died in the same accident as the hockey player, has also spoken candidly about how her husband’s death has affected their family, announcing that she is expecting their first child, a boy named Tripp.
In the photos published on Madeline’s website Instagram in October, she told how friends and family members helped her celebrate a baby shower.
“The baby shower of my dreams ,” Madeleine wrote at the time along with photos of the paradise-themed shower decor. “… My husband would love all the balloons. The way you were able to tie up my husband brought instant tears when I walked in.”

Johnny and Matthew were killed the day before their sister Cathy Gaudreauwedding, when a probably drunk driver hit the brothers who were riding bicycles.
Johnny, an 11-year NHL star with the Calgary Flames and Columbus Blue Jackets, was 31 years old. Matthew, a former NCAA hockey player at Boston College who in recent years became the assistant head coach of their high school hockey team, was 29.
