The closure of Highway 54 near the Missouri River Bridge will end soon

Traffic flow over the Missouri River Bridge in Jefferson City will soon return to normal.

On July 8, Missouri Department of Transportation crews began work on the Highway 54 overpasses over Highway 50 and McCarthy Street.

As a result, traffic was sometimes reduced to one lane in each direction, and several exits and exits were closed.

All lanes of Route 54 will be open from the week of November 4. All exits to and from the route will also be open.

Some lanes may be closed overnight on Highway 50 under Highway 54.
