The arrest took place after a police chase and a home invasion

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A man is in custody after a police chase crossed state lines and ended after a car crashed into a house.

According to West Memphis Police, officers spotted a suspicious vehicle traveling in the direction of Memphis and notified Memphis Police when the vehicle suddenly sped off.

During the car chase, the driver lost control and crashed into a house on East Frank Avenue.

Jairus Lee was taken into custody and charged with failure to exercise due care, reckless driving, evading arrest and financial responsibility.

Lee was granted a $6,000 bond.
