Juvenile arrested on charge of attempted murder in Kalispell shooting

Kalispell Police Department (KPD) officers arrested a 14-year-old boy on a preliminary charge of attempted first degree murder after he allegedly shot and killed a 16-year-old girl in the 400 block of South Meridian Road yesterday at 3:30 p.m., according to a news release.

As of 20:30 last night, the victim was operated on for a gunshot wound.

The suspect’s identity has not been released at this time due to his age.
