Realtor arrested on charges of fraud, forgery-Telangana Today

Hyderabad: A realtor who was allegedly involved in forgery, fraud and conspiracy and collected Rs 1.45 crore under the guise of selling plots in a fabricated and unauthorized plan has been arrested by the Economic Offenses Wing of the Cyberabad police.

Police said that K. Satish Chandra Gupta, a native of Nellore in neighboring Andhra Pradesh and owner of Sai Surya Developers, along with another suspect, Narendra Surana of Bhagyanagar Properties, created a fabricated and unauthorized layout named Sai Tulasi Enclave – IV and Shanmukha Nivas on the same land at Vattinagulpalli.


They allegedly entered into an agreement to sell the plot for Rs 3.25 crore and received Rs 1.45 crore as advance in February 2023 from the complainant, a resident of Nacharam. However, according to the SPR employees, the suspects fled without registering the specified plot and deceived the applicant.

Earlier, Satish Chandra Gupta was involved in 11 cases with the same modus operandi, police said. The case is being investigated by J. Venkateswarlu, Economic Offenses Branch, Cyberabad under the supervision of K. Prasad, Deputy Commissioner of Police, EOW, Cyberabad.

K. Prasad in the advice urged the citizens to be careful with unauthorized planning and not to fall prey to fraudsters, fraudsters.
