Obituaries submitted on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays are accepted between 8:30am and 3:00pm by email only to [email protected]

(Proofs will not be provided. Prices will only be available the next business day after 10:00 a.m. by calling Diane at 610-915-2226)

Obituaries received after the deadline will not be published in the next issue of the newspaper.

Sending procedure:

Email is the preferred way to receive obituaries (and the only way on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays), they can be sent to [email protected] (Feel free to call and confirm that we received the email)

Formatting:

Obituaries will continue to look the same visually as they do now, but you will no longer be limited in what you can say (for example, you can list as much family as you want; wording like “Goed to rest with the Lord”). now it’s acceptable)

Other:

There is a cost to each obituary. Prices and payments are only available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All weekend and holiday submissions will be delivered the next business day.

Exceptions:

All new accounts, out-of-state funeral homes, and private parties will require prepayment upon obituary approval. Staff on weekends and holidays are not allowed to create a new account or process payments

The deadline for the above is 4:00 p.m. Mon.-Fri. only (Schedule for holidays may change).

Submissions requiring prepayment will be processed on the first business day following weekends and/or holidays. Full name, address and best contact phone number are required when submitting your obituary request to set up your account. A confirmation will be emailed for verification but will be held until payment is received.
