A water buffalo was recently spotted on the banks of the Yangtze River in east China’s Jiangsu Province, and surveillance cameras captured the animal’s incredible 5.4km swim across the river.

After receiving a call from a citizen, the local police started an investigation and found that the water buffalo entered the Yangtze River from the port and successfully swam 5.4 kilometers to the shore.

After a search, the police found the owner of the buffalo and returned the animal to a safe place.
