Having decided help Minrathous or Treviso in Dragon Age: The Veilguard this is the first major story choice you have to make, and it will have significant consequences depending on which option you choose.

Now we will say it here – this guide definitely contains spoilers! So if you’re not at that stage yet, or want to keep the story open for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, please keep that in mind. Now, it’s worth saying that you should complete any Neva and Lukanis companion quests before choosing this choice, as they may be locked after your choice.

Help Minrathous effects in Dragon Age The Veilguard

Then if you decide to help Minratous in Dragon Age: The Veilguard Lukanis will become “Hardened”which will make him harder to love and he will be unavailable for some time in the story after you make this choice. He will too loses the ability to supportsuch as Calming Potion but some of his attack abilities will be stronger.

Minrathous’s help means you’ll need to defend the city while fending off the dragon Seartooth Vyrantus alongside Neve and one other party member. If you choose to help Minrathous, Shadow Dragons will help you in the quest later.

Also, Treviso will be mostly destroyed, many people will die and the city will be destroyed. This will affect many of the later quests in the story, as well as side quests – so choose wisely if you prefer to explore this area instead of Minratus.

Choosing Minrathous will give you -100 power from Antivan Crows, however you can earn this back by doing side quests around Treviso to help people.

Then if you decide to help Treviso in Dragon Age: The Veilguard Neve will become “Hardened”which makes her difficult to love and she will be unavailable for some time in the story after you make your choice. She will lose her ability to heal, but her attacks will be stronger.

Helping Treviso means you’ll need to protect him by fighting Korius the Ice Kogon (dragon) alongside Lucanis and another party member. Also, if you helped Treviso, the Antivan ravens will help in the quest later.

As a result of this choice, Minratus will be mostly destroyed, many people will die, and the city will be destroyed, along with the leader of the Shadow Dragon, Viper. Neve will not be happy with you at all because of this, so if you want to romance her, we highly recommend choosing Minratous. However, if you want to love Lucanis, Treviso is a better choice.

It’s worth noting that even if you choose Treviso, you’ll be able to recover your power with Shadow Dragons by doing various side quests in Minrathous.
