EFCC re-arrests Bobrisky at Lagos airport

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has re-arrested controversial social media personality and transvestite Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos.

This arrest came just days after Nigerian police released Bobryski on bail.

The dramatic arrest took place on Thursday evening, when Bobrysky was about to board a flight to London.

Eyewitnesses reported that Nigerian authorities stopped the plane before takeoff and escorted the socialite out in front of other passengers.

Shortly after the incident, Bobrisky wrote on Instagram: “Nigerians are helping me, EFCC just arrested me. I am badly injured.”

Last week, he was apprehended by the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) at the Seme border while allegedly trying to flee the country.

The transitional outfit is under investigation after an audio recording surfaced in which Bobrysky allegedly claims he was allowed to serve a six-month sentence outside Kirikiri prison because of “influential connections”.
