A man is accused of breaking into a house and assaulting a woman News

According to a magistrate’s complaint filed in the Supreme Court, the man, who demanded to see the woman, entered her home, kicked in the door, broke a window and dragged her out of the house by her hair.

When police arrived at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, they found 22-year-old Joby Ciro Andrew “swinging at the door screen and knocking the woman to the ground,” according to the complaint.

Andrew was charged Thursday with second-degree felony burglary, misdemeanor domestic violence and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

At 18:00, Andriy sent the woman a text message that he would come to her home, but she ignored him. When he showed up an hour later, slamming the door loudly, another member of the household told him to leave, but he refused.

Frightened family members hid in the house, and Andrii went to the back of the house and broke a window. He went inside, dragged the woman from the bedroom to the front entrance and kicked her several times, the statement said.

The police arrived and detained Andrii.

If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison. He was held on a $5,000 bond.
