The Pennsylvania Prosecutor General Dave Sunday announced that the Lid County man did not ask any competition for several crimes for performing as a medical worker to care for patients for which Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance companies paid claims.

44 -year -old Adam Herman from Slatington did not ask any competition on Friday in the Court of Carbon County up to 17 crimes and one misdemeanor. The request for unobstructed request has the same legal effect as the guilty statement.

Herman will be convicted on May 12.

According to the Investigation of the Prosecutor General, Herman identified himself or a doctor certified by a registered nurse or nurse at least nine homes of personal hygiene/assistance and treated patients who believed that he was a doctor, CNRP or nurse.

He prescribed medicines, wrongly, and performed other procedures such as blood and injections – although he did not study or licensed. Herman had no medical license.

“The behavior associated with here is flashy because the defendant is jeopardizing many people, providing fraudulent care and prescribing medicines that have adverse consequences,” Sunday said. “The defendant’s deception also included the deception of the Medicaid State Program, which allows the Pennsylvanians to need treatment and care.”

At the beginning of 2022, the doctor and Herman agreed to manage a business that would provide medical assistance to residents of personal hygiene and residential assistance to residents. Despite the fact that the doctor of the Carbon district misunderstood that Herman was a registered nurse, Herman’s role in practice was to manage business operations of medical practice rather than providing medical care.

In September 2022, the doctor became ill and eventually could not continue to practice. Herman received a doctor’s mobile phone and used an authentication (available for doctors only) to dose controlled substances. Herman submitted prescriptions under the name of a doctor, and argued that the services provided were actually authorized by the supervisory doctor; They were not.

Due to the lack of Herman’s training and certification, many patients have been made inaccurate diagnoses and treatment methods. For example, Herman prescribed diabetes medicine for several patients, even if patients were not diabetic, resulting in ill and lost weight.

While the doctor became ill, Herman treated several patients who depend on care, at least nine different dwellings or personal hygiene homes. He studied patients, diagnosed the conditions, prescribed medicines and performed minor procedures such as blood and injection.

In general, Herman spoke up to 13 neglect points (threatening the welfare of the guardianship), and one of the consideration of each fraud with medicine, theft by deception, insurance fraud, theft of a person and a practice of medicine without a license.
