Ohio police have taken a 50-year-old man into custody after a chase in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO). The Ohio State Highway Patrol said officers arrested a 50-year-old man Wednesday after a chase.

According to the Highway Patrol, the chase began around 5:45 p.m. in the area of ​​St. Clair Avenue and East 145th Street.

Police say they attempted to pull over the driver for a tinted glass violation, but instead of stopping, the suspect drove off.

The chase includes soldiers in a group and a helicopter overhead.

The helicopter tracked the suspect to a home on Evangeline Road, according to the Highway Patrol.

There, the police said that the suspect got out of the car and went inside.

A helicopter directed soldiers to the man’s location, and he was apprehended.

According to patrol officers, a semi-automatic weapon was seized during the chase.

The suspect has been charged.
