TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River High School students added a festive touch to downtown storefronts ahead of the city’s 85th annual Halloween Parade, which begins Thursday at 7 p.m. Organized by Toms River Fire Company #1, the Halloween Parade is a long-standing community event. gathers thousands of spectators every year.

Toms River High School students spent hours painting Halloween-themed murals on storefronts along Washington Street in preparation for the celebration. The art features traditional spooky imagery including ghosts, pumpkins and skeletons, bringing seasonal spirit to the town’s high street.

“Our students were excited to contribute to such a beloved local tradition,” said Toms River Mayor Dan Rodrick.

The parade, one of the largest Halloween parades in the country, is expected to feature elaborate floats, costumed marchers and local organizations. Attendees can view murals painted by students before the march and along the parade route.

Washington Street will be temporarily closed to traffic during the parade, and city officials are advising residents to plan for parking and road closures accordingly.
