Restaurant technology provider Marqii has raised $10 million to help it expand.

The funding round was led by Next Coast Ventures with participation from Rich Products Ventures, the venture capital arm of food manufacturer Rich Products. Thus, the total amount of funds collected by the company reached 20 million dollars.

Marqii software helps restaurants manage online reviews, lists and menus to engage customers and save operator time. In August, it launched an AI tool that generates suggested responses to reviews.

Marqii will use the funds to support the development of new features, including social media management and more action-oriented analytics. The company also plans to add to its customer success team, midsize and enterprise sales teams, and engineering teams.

Founded in 2017, the Austin-based company has grown rapidly over the past year, increasing its restaurant partners by 50% to 12,000 since last October. Marqii works with both independent companies and retail chains, but it goes to a high level. A third of customers have 30 or more locations.

These clients include P. Terry’s, Authentic Restaurant Brands, &pizza, DIG, Margaritaville, Levain, Cooper’s Hawk, Big Chicken, Birdcall, Insomnia Cookies and Punchbowl Social.

Marqii’s new investors called the company “unique” and praised its use of technology to help restaurants build stronger relationships with customers.
