The Arkansas area is working together to help a litter of orphaned puppies

Thanks to the kindness of the local community, a group of orphaned puppies found their forever homes.

Residents of Little Rock, Arkansas, have banded together to save the puppies after a police officer found 11 newborn puppies — without their mother — in an abandoned apartment building while investigating reports of a possible break-in.

“I just couldn’t leave them (in the abandoned building),” said Officer Chase Hunton. “Best Friends” animal society.national organization for the protection of animals. “So I found a box and put them all in.”

Since the local shelter couldn’t accept the canines due to overcrowding, Houghton brought the puppies home. His wife, Hannah, immediately began rallying her neighbors to help raise and care for the little dogs. The neighborhood was tipped off, and community members soon volunteered their services to help Chase and Hanna care for the newborns, who weighed less than half a pound when they were found, including bathing them, treating them for fleas and providing a 24-hour bottle. – feeding

“Vinny is very smart and has already learned to sit and shake hands and he has figured out the doggy door. He loves people. And when we go for a walk, he wants to check on everyone,” Jones continued, adding that Vinny’s favorite thing to do is eat.

“The whole experience definitely tugged at my heartstrings,” Jones added.
