Man accused of leading Tuscaloosa authorities on a stolen car chase arrested at tourist center

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama (WBRC) – Tuscaloosa authorities have arrested a man they say stole a car and led them on a chase before crashing.

On Oct. 30, Tuscaloosa police stopped a vehicle near the Oakley apartment complex that had been reported stolen. Later that day, the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a stolen vehicle pursuit on I-20/59.

The pursuit continued until the suspect crashed the vehicle near Exit 86.

The K9 search ended Wednesday around 5:00 p.m. However, the suspect, Justin Finkle, was located and taken into custody at Mary’s Travel Center on October 31 at 10:12 am.

Finklea is charged with first-degree theft of property. He is being held without Bond.
