Buffalo’s husband pleads guilty in murder in the death of his girlfriend

Buffalo, Ny (WKBW) -Colovik Buffalo pleaded his guilt in the murder of first degree due to the death of his girlfriend in April 2021.

Erie’s district prosecutor’s office has announced that 22-year-old Musaggdus R. Nancumba has found her guilt on charges of Erie’s Court on Friday.

According to DA, April 17, 2021, Nancumba beat and strangled Larrinsh Johnson’s 18-year-old inside a vehicle parked in Martin Luther King. After the attack, Nankumba contacted a family member who called 911. The police answered and found Johnson inappropriate in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. At the scene, she was declared dead. Nancomba, who was 18 at the time of the crime, was arrested. Erie’s medical examination office found that Johnson died of asphyxia due to shortness of breath.

Dae stated that Nankumba had remained in custody since his arrest and was not competent to continue after the forensic exam in August 2021. He was transferred to a safe psychiatric institution in Rochester. But in June 2023 he was returned to court after additional psychiatric assessments found him competent to go to trial.

Nankumba has a maximum of 25 years in prison and is planned to be sentenced to March 31. It remains held without collateral.
