A convicted felon was arrested after a high-speed chase on I-20, police said

ATLANTAA convicted felon has been charged after police say he was caught speeding 90 mph on Interstate 20.

Atlanta police say they spotted a reckless driver during a speed check on I-20 the night of Oct. 18.

Instead of pulling over for police, officials say the driver of the black Honda Civic continued to speed and change lanes multiple times.

After using the department’s aviation unit to track down the driver, officers eventually pulled him over at a Shell gas station on Hill Street.

The driver, identified as Quentin Jackson, was taken into custody without incident. Investigators say Jackson was carrying an illegal firearm.

Jackson now faces multiple charges, including speeding, reckless driving, speeding for conditions, failure to maintain lane, driving while license suspended and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
